I put a picture of Ryoko there a long time ago. And it stayed there for a long time.
I don't know who took it down, but I can probably find it again.
EDIT: Here it is, hosted locally even:

I'm convinced that our modern day analogues to ancient scholars are comedians. -0dd1Odd, it only has nineteen edits.
Fight smart, not fair.I like Ryoko for this but we can probably find a better pic of her from that ep. (ep 4)
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Go ahead and put it back up while we work out if we can find something better.
Maybe a two part picture?
One of Ryoko doing her "pretty please" pose, and then one of her dancing above Kyon's body while the blood droplets fly off her knife?
Also, the caption on that image from Black Humor should be the page quote.

Umm she looks like a creepy girl, but not on the human/inhuman border that defines the Uncanny Valley.
This may raise cries of "over-represented", but what about Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion?

I thought of Rei, but that pic is a little too weird even for her, plus (at least in the anime) that's not technically her...we'd need a pic of the actual character and not the freaky whatever it is that Shinji saw in Unit 00.
Most of those don't really show what this trope is, to be honest.
Still need More Dakka, and it's about time to start a real WAAAAAGH.If "most" don't, can I assume "some" do?
Anyway, I agree with Sackett's idea. I would suggest Raso's [11] ◊ or [5] ◊ image.
I don't have Ryoko's "pretty please" pose, but shouldn't be hard to find (it is a famous image). Alternatively, we could use an image of her chatting happily with a group of friends.

Neither of those show the Uncanny Valley. That's more like Dissonant Serenity.
Reaction Image RepositoryI disagree. She doesn't look exactly 'serene' at all.
That's good, because the Uncanny Valley Girl is about "a very convincing" Valley Girl facade, not really a girl who is visually in the Uncanny Valley, until you know her better.
Note that the name comes from Uncanny Valley, not Valley Girl, though it is, obviously, a pun on both.
They're actually supposed to be popular high school girls.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. This trope has a really confusing title.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyThis is such the perfect trope for Ryouko though.
True, but if we can't find an image or pair of images to convey it, that doesn't matter at all.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyThe trope name is supposed to reflect a girl who's closer to Uncanny Valley. Valley Girl was just a coincidence, as evidenced by the trope description.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. That's what I thought, but rereading the trope description it seems like the Uncanny Valley part of the trope is really downplayed, as the girl is supposed to be really popular. Which kind of means that the Uncanny Valley must not be that strong.
Reaction Image Repository^No, it's like this: she publicly acts like the popular, friendly girl she's pretending to be, but is actually creepy/inhuman/whatever.
So it's kind of Uncanny Valley meets The Masquerade meets Villain with Good Publicity.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!But that's not what the Uncanny Valley means, that is about appearing to be slightly off, and terrifying, but this is more like a dere trope, where the girl is swinging between the Uncanny Valley and the Valley Girl modes.
In fact, I believe this trope was created for her. That is it, she was the character that inspired the trope creation. At last that is what I remember reading in the previous discussion.
I was thinking maybe someone like Ryoko Asakura [1]◊ might fit be good for this page, or if we decide to get rid of the current Yandere image we can move it here.
