Daydre steps out and starts making her way out of the Community Center, eyes half-closed. She seems to be concentrating pretty deeply on something.

Making sure Silas is still there, Daydre continues on through the streets of Ballonlea until the group comes upon....

A couple having a heated argument!

... Okay, they're being a little loud but there's no way Daydre could've heard that from the community center.

Silas stared at the arguing couple, then to Daydre, "How the hell did you do that?" he asked.

~Okay canine ears are great but even I didn't hear that? Do you just hear conflict?~ Hacks asked.

<.. I'm not really sure. WAIT.>

Daydre flashes back to the cryptic texts and her AFD Forest Experience.

Silas and Hacks obviously cannot see this so to them it probably just looks like her awkwardly pausing the conversation for a minute.

<THAT'S what she meant. Oh. She could've fucking told me that's what that felt like! I had to listen to music constantly to focus for like two weeks in 2018 it would've been nice to know that's what that was!>

"What? What did she say?" Silas asked.

~Please inform the peanut gallery,~ Hacks stated.

Kim: "Ah. So far, my journey has been going great. I've met a lot of new friends— and lost some friends, too, unfortunately. No, I don't mean they're dead, it's just that... never mind, I'll tell you later. As for my Pokemon... they're a rather eccentric bunch, to say the least. As you can probably tell. By the way, can you understand anything Peechee is saying?"

Kim: "Indeed it shall." (She returns all of her Pokemon.) "Alright, then. Where should we head off to?"

Ballonlea, Evelyn's House

Hoops: Well, um, I actually grew up here in Ballonlea, and I left home a couple of years ago. I did a few gym battles, but I lost steam somewhat until I met these three, and I've been travelling with them for about half of the time since then. And now we're back home. Which is fun.

Ballonlea, Evelyn's House

Me: Well, my adventure has been interesting so far. There was a whole thing about a group called the "Mobius Society" that was trying to condense the Multiverse into a single universe. This group called the J-Team was at odds with the Mobius Society and were trying to stop them before they could do so. The J-Team won that conflict. There was also this glitch with reality-warping powers called "The Fanatic" that was trying to tear into the fabric of reality and reform it in its own twisted image. I was there to fight it.

Evelyn: -from down the hall- So was I! But I guess I didn't have much presence. In my defense, I didn't want to attract too much attention from the J-Teamers who were there or from The Fanatic. But I did help the other J-Teamers by boosting their morale and keeping them on their feet.

Me: There was also this giant purple skeleton dragon thing... I think its name was "Eternatus..." It rose up from out of nowhere, I never saw anything like it before!

Piku-chan: <Technically, it was from a rift between Creation and the Void... As if it transitioned from being something that never was to something that has always been... At least... that's how it felt...>

Agnes: My stars! That must've been quite the battle.

Me: Believe me, Mrs. Promeneau. It was.

Agnes: -to Kim- Not really, but I have a feeling that you do. -to Hoops with a smile- I'm sure meeting my daughter and your friends was just what the doctor ordered.

Galarian Museum

Me: We should probably get some rest for the big battle coming up.

Evelyn: Of course... Well, Ganbatte, Ian-kun.^note Good luck, Ian.

Kim: "Indeed I do." (then, in a whisper, to Ian) "Should I tell her about Rever and... you-know-who?"

Galarian Museum

Kim: "Ah, yes. Indeed we should. Well, then. We should get going."

(And with that said, she leaves the Galarian Museum.)

LATER THAT NIGHT...

(Kim is in her room on board the Stormchaser and is asleep— and then all of a sudden the dream starts.)

DREAM SEQUENCE

(Kim suddenly wakes up in what looks like a large circular prison. For a few moments, she looks around, wondering where she is.)

Kim: "Ian...? Hello... are you there?"

A FEW DAYS LATER...

WYNDON

(Kim has arrived in Wyndon via Ozzy, and everyone is back to their original personalities. Upon making it to Wyndon, she takes out Ozzy's PokeBall and proceeds to recall him. Seconds later, she looks around.)

Kim: "Well. I wonder when Ian and Evelyn will arrive here."

Me: Let's go.

Evelyn: Right.

-Ian and Evelyn think to themselves...- What did Yuki mean when she said that she didn't want us to learn about her past until she was ready?

Later That Night...

-Ian and Evelyn are in a separate room of the Stormchaser, sleeping soundly in separate beds.-

????

-Ian wakes up on what appears to be a cot. He looks around and notices that his pajamas had changed into a prison uniform and his ankles are chained to the floor. He then gets another look around at his surroundings and realizes that he's in a jail cell.-

Me: Wh-What is this place? Where am I?

-Ian then hears Kim's voice coming from a cell close to his.-

Me: I'm here, Kim... Only thing is... where is here?

Wyndon, Days Later

-Ian and Evelyn fly into Wyndon by broom.-

Evelyn: Look, there's Kim!

Me: She must've been waiting for us for a while...

Evelyn: Well, let's not make her wait any longer. We're going in for a landing.

-Evelyn takes the broom down to the ground near where Kim is... only to crash it again.-

Evelyn: -dizzy- I really need to learn how to land...

Somewhere between dreams and reality, mind and matter....

-Star finds herself lying on a cot in a jail cell. She startles, and gets up. The chain attached to her wrist jingles slightly as she moves. She looks around, panicked. How the hell did she wind up in jail? Was this someone's twisted idea of a cruel joke? Or a dream? Many extremely bad situations cross her mind, many unfortunately likely-

-her spiraling is interrupted by someone talking in the distance, and she goes up to the bars to check. She sees two other people in the cells near her-

Star: -yelling out to Ian and Kim- W-Who's there? Hey!

Between Dream and Reality...

Me: Oh... Hi... It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Ian. The woman in one of the cells near mine is Kimberly Bond. She'd probably introduce herself as a "lingual consultant". To be honest, I'm as baffled as you are. I mean, I don't even know what my crime was, and yet, I'm here...

"Your power is that you're a RPG protagonist?" Silas commented.

~Yours is that you're an action game protagonist... what kind, all of them,~ Hacks countered.

Silas sighed, "Okay so, you can hear conflict and it drives you to find it, that's useful in a sense."

<I guess you could put it like that?> She shrugs, foxily.

<I'm wondering how other me could use it to find me even when I wasn't like... arguing with someone though.>

-There is indeed a Gale Knight and also a cool dragon wizard friend in the local area. As the car approaches, Gale smiles as she notices who's in it and the dragozard (dragon wizard) flinches backwards because they have no idea whether the car intends to stop-

Yo! Tommy!

Takcorian: Oh, you know these guys. Phew.

Hoops sits down on the sofa, leaning back and sighing deeply. Kec crawls off their shoulder and stretched out on their lap. The following conversation is said in hushed voices.

Hoops: Yeah, get some rest there, mate.

Kec: <How are you feeling about what went down at your dad's house?>

Hoops: Really? Asking me about it in front of everyone hoping they'll overhear? You're becoming less subtle by the minute.

Kec: <You should tell them. They are our friends, after all.>

Hoops: Evs is returning home for the first time in ages, and the others are trying to enjoy the night before their next battle. I don't want them having to deal with my problems at the moment. I don't even need to worry about it. When we win tomorrow's battle, we'll prove dad wrong.

Kec: <If you say so.>

Hoops: I do. We'll get up early tomorrow, and do the gym challenge the moment the gym opens, and then we don't have to worry about it for as long.

Wild Area, near Gale

Jane and Tommy park their ATV near Takcorian and Gale. There was room enough for two extra passengers, fortuitously enough.

Tommy: Hey, Ms. Knight. Who's your friend?

Jane: Don't worry, we don't bite. A pleasure to meet you again Ms. Gale. And good thing, too. We've lost the way to the events place while covering something in the wild area.

Tommy: We were gonna ask you for directions. You happen to know the way back to that feasting event you were supposed to host?

Jane: I do suppose you need a lift? We've got plenty of room.

Tommy: Hop on.

They seem... not very fazed at the thought of Gale hanging out with a dragon. They've seen weirder.

Wild Area, On Gale

Oh, this is uh...

Takcorian: Tak. Yaknow, fr-

-The dragon goes silent for a few moments-

Takcorian: I'm just helping this girl out with some chefery. Hey you didn't tell me it was going to be now.

Yeah, he's just kinda... Yeah, I need some more expert hands for the feast prep. We could use the ride, yeah.

-The dragon has already gotten a smartphone out as Gale gets into the ATV-

Takcorian: Yeah well short notice I'm gonna have to get Lu in on this. And if you do not want me getting angry, not one word about me being... Yaknow.

-The dragon notices that they're the only one left standing and scrambles into the vehicle-

Hanmerlocke Stream

Having looked over the stream chat, she sits a little taller with pride, letting her coat sparkle. Her tails idly flit back and forth, metronomic, vaguely hypnotic.

Daydre sits on the ground.

<Well, it's good to have figured that out. But what do I do with this information?>

"Use it to become a wandering wasteland hero righting wrongs?" Silas suggested somewhat jokingly.
