To be honest, I live in a universe where robots (namely robotic arms) do heavy industrial work and AI seems to be creeping into every facet of our daily life, whether we like it or not. This means I’d prefer to be neutral about such an issue like this.

However, if a robot/AI can think like a human, feel like a human, and importantly, practice self-restraint like a human, then I’d treat them as a human. Would you agree, SCW?

Oh geez, I accidentally fell into a pond where it was snowing but ice hadn't really frozen over. I'm okay now, but the water was so cold, I'm still checking to make sure I don't end up with hypothermia. (*Shivers*) Anyway, speaking of superheroes, in my world, most people have these sort of powers called Quirks, and Pro Heroes use their Quirks to help society. It's kind of like those superheroes from other worlds, but also kind of different. In my world I don't think there are any actual extraterrestrial threats from outer space, unlike some of the Marvel or DC stuff I read in the past.

Just got back from the gym. So I see you guys are into superheroes and stuff? I wanted to be like Wonder Woman when I was younger. Also, I fell into a frozen pond once, but I ended up okay in the end because after getting out, I immediately ran for a nearby building where it was warm and cozy and stuff.

OMG, superheroes are like so totally cool! I still remember the time Candy Pakupaku, Coffretchi, Pianitchi and I dressed up as many of them in sets of four!

We should do that again sometime! Also, I think it's kinda funny how the type of someone sorta like what Yumemitchi was talking about appeared right after her post.

I don't rule all of Europa, or even most of it, but I do have a decent chunk of it under my command. It's more of a "first among equals" deal than a "proper" rule, I'll admit.

As for titles: "Baron Wulfenbach" is more formal, while "Gil" is what I'd expect friends to call me. Both work depending on the context.

[1] We offer a decent variety of work. You can do:
Research: anything that falls under the wide umbrella of "science". This includes investigating any new phenomena that we come across, but also social sciences - note that we generally don't need to focus on a single culture, due to the scope of our work.
Engineering: making machines and infrastructure, our specialty! One of our slogans is "We do anything lighter than five solar masses", and that includes Dyson spheres. Of course, engineering work requires some learning, but we've got courses for that.
Programming: We make machines - the machines need to work somehow. And sure, we've got more than enough libraries to cover most edge cases for robotics, but who knows when an alien civilization finds an exploit in one of our communication protocols. Better find it ourselves first.
Creative stuff: not everything we do has an explicit purpose! A while ago, me and some other EV folks have recreated a racetrack from Trackmania for fun. Besides that, some people like to give art commissions for EV, like a certain house design.
Politics: we work across universes, and in order to ensure trust with foreign civilizations, we need to communicate. First contact, trade deals, lobbying (yes, we do lobbying, but only in the interest of quality of life!) and maintaining a good reputation is the job of politicians. Though most political tasks require a "Trusted" status, which you'd have to work towards.
We also (very rarely) do paramilitary work, but generally refrain from violence because it tends to do more harm than good. In general, EV has a rather open structure - we've got one central taskboard where you can pick out any task you like and have permissions for. If any of the jobs I've given here sound interesting to you, I can give you a terminal with public-level access to the taskboard.

Oh, and speaking of creative stuff, I finished the crocheting machine! It's not nearly fast enough to compete with an industrial weaving machine, but it has all the capabilities that a human can have.

machine.img Shows a contraption with four small robot arms over a working surface. Two hold a piece of cloth, the third one holds a crocheting needle, and the fourth one holds yarn. On the working surface is an acrylic dodecahedron, encased in crocheting with lots of sci-fi-ish patterns.

What I can tell you is that there's (probably) everything there to get yourself a high quality of life, if you try... That's not a satisfying response, is it?

Honestly, I sometimes wish I had a superpower, so I could fight directly alongside my Pokemon.

It can be dangerous to have one. I have to make sure my acid doesn't accidentally damage any furniture or injure myself or anyone else. Sometimes they can inadvertently ruin lives in an instant without anyone realizing it until it's too late. By the way, I'm gonna watch Scream 6 tomorrow. Heard it got good reviews.
