Ahh, console video games (or vidcons as I call them). the ultimate medium of expression, able to convey any emotion ranging from hatred to love, loyalty to fear, all in front of our eyes. Ah, and with lovingly crafted art, music, and the ability to control the action, vidcons are the ultimate combination of the high arts. While I tend to play the stoic, I will be the first to admit that vidcons haven driven me to cry, to scream and shout, to feel actual hate; such is the power of this force beyond our wildest reckoning. And here I am, before you, to temp your tongues with the taint of such a tantalizing topic.
And the Japanese, the true geniuses behind the world of video games. Pah, I throw my scorn upon such incompetents of the West who would mock the true art of the Japanese with 'games' such as Baldur's Gate and Madden. Perhaps it is that the West is not as intelligent as the East, but this is a matter for another day. Japan has given us such masterpieces as the Final Fantasy series, Star Ocean, Wild Arms, and of course, Arc the Lad. Yes, some of the finest vidcons in the world were created by Japanese. I come to you today to ask you in all earnesty, what is your favorite vidcon? I will reveal mine after the grand debate has illustriously begun, but not before the first poster falls victim to my plot of discussion.
In other words, this is a thread on an imaginary forum our avatars frequent. The topic can fluctuate, and its mostly just general discussion.
The GFL world has internet, yes. It's kinda like the modern world but with robot waifus, radioactive zombies, and wacky politics (New Soviet Union, America is now robo-communists, cold war involves reverse-engineered alien tech, etc.)
Tactical Dolls are combat androids, yes. We are distinguished from civilian Autonomous Dolls by the presence of Fire Control Cores along with a host of combat-related enhancements. It's worth noting that G&K's T-Dolls are not military grade units. Many of us, like me, came from civilian stock before being converted for paramilitary use.
The "Norma Magnum" moniker is simply that, a name. It's there to distinguish it from other .338 caliber rounds, most notably the .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge from which it was developed. The actual cartridge size is 8.6x69mm. Also, lead is fine. I'm afraid iron or titanium bullets would produce unpredictable ballistics.
"Saboted core" means there is a smaller bullet inside the bullet called a penetrator. This penetrator, made from steel or tungsten, is held in place inside the casing by a sabot. This sabot then falls off when the bullet is fired. Since the penetrator is smaller, heavier, and flies faster than regular bullets, it can punch through armored plates with ease. The US Army used this kind of ammo and called it "SLAP" — Saboted Light Armor Penetrator. If you're more familiar with APFSDS ammo for tank guns, it's essentially the same thing, minus the fins and scaled down.
I'll see if I can get the schematics for you. As for testing prototype weapons, you'll have to ask my superiors for that.

Lovepilled and HopemaxxingHehehehe, penetrator...
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Hmph. note So you say.
Well that's a lot of stuff to mention on that subject.
Meet the Tamas!◊ I've come to retrieve my power.i remember when people still used ballistics to fight. some idiots tried to make .72 caliber rifles. they mostly died when their hammer mechanisms broke their skulls during testing.
I look to the stars... but that's mostly because there isn't anything else interestingLOL
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”rip bro that must have sucked trying to fire 72 cal lmao
every time i die (the metalcore band) is peakI'll take free tech. Anything you feel like sending me. ... Uh, maybe start with a way to figure out where I am in relation to you. I don't even know where I am in relation to Elcenia, the world I hatched on...
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.im sure i could help you. Would you mind giving a brief description of your world?
I look to the stars... but that's mostly because there isn't anything else interestingElcenia? Square planet with magic and stuff; if I was there I could hire a wizard to contact you all easily enough but I'm not.
If you mean the place I am now, it's sort of a weird city? I kinda just got here; got tossed into a hotel and argued a bunch with some heavily-armored weirdo who's freaked out that I'm a dragon.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Well, I have this handy dandy algorithm here that you can feed a map of the stars on your night sky, which then calculates your possible position using star data in the CenterBrain's database. If you can give me details about your planet (atmosphere composition, geologic activity etc), I can narrow the search down further for more reliable results. Also, that way, the algorithm won't have to run for several days, so that's even better!
Here it is, in JavaScript: planetsearchv35.4 - 311 GB (Note: running this on your computer requires a steady connection to the CenterBrain. You probably won't have that connection, unless my civilization made contact with you, so I'll probably have to help set that up.) Just pretend there's a file there
And here's my star map, for anyone who wants to find it. The first number is latitude, the second one is longitude, the third one is distance from planet, and the last one is luminosity. If anyone's trying to make a starmap themselves - the last two numbers are optional, but greatly speed up the search process. starmap.txt - 20 GB
For the night, I think I'll be trying to a) set up an assembly line for those rounds, and b)contact Griffin & Kryuger about prototypes. Just one more question - I'm not an expert at ballistics and weapons manufacturing. I have large quantities of other materials that could also interest you, for example:
- Carbon nanotubes / graphene. Very strong, carbon nanotubes especially are very light, yet very resistant to deformation.
- Diamond. I have smelters that are strong enough to turn coal into diamond - but I'm not sure how useful that is. I heard diamond is brittle.
... I think I need to clarify what I mean by "world". I'm not in the same physical space as Elcenia; I know this because I can't cast spells. ... Actually I guess I haven't tested that here at the hotel, only back in Crunch City, but I can't because these cookie hands don't have fingers so I can't do the gestures properly.
Point is, it's better than even odds we're not looking at the same stars.

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.most people on this forum are from different realities so stars are with almost certainty different. anyway i just found yours why is everyone cookies? how is anyone even alive here? im not entirely sure i want to send anyone in
I look to the stars... but that's mostly because there isn't anything else interestinghaha, funny, a ninja not ninja killed THE SUN!!
every time i die (the metalcore band) is peakThat's a bit of a problem. Unless I can find a way to
- travel to specific parallel universes and
- categorize said parallel universes,
Are there no wizards where you are right now? You could try giving them my starmap file, maybe they can open a portal to me or something? Also, I could still try feeding your starmap into my algorithm, even if it spits out an error message, just for the sake of testing.
How far can we go away from canon in this RP? Dyson Sphere Program, the game where my avatar is from, basically has no lore besides "here's a star system, go make a Dyson sphere", so I don't really have a problem with that, but what do you guys think?
"What I don‘t like about measure theory is that you have to say 'almost everywhere' almost everywhere." - Attributed to Kurt Friedrichsill try to find them though i cant find them in their home reality so ill be looking in near by ones.
everyone here exists in a sorta multiverse where their settings exist as realities. so the very laws of physics can be changed to allow for some more stranger settings people come from.

I look to the stars... but that's mostly because there isn't anything else interestingHaven't found any wizards here, though as wizardry only works in Elcenia to the best of my knowledge, it wouldn't be very helpful if I did.
And yeah, I haven't actually been to Earthbread, but I've met a few of the cookies from there — that's actually how I decided on this form... which still feels a bit tainted knowing Chili Pepper was a pig the whole time...
... what was I saying? Oh yeah, Earthbread sounds weird as hell from what I've heard of it.

No one's going to cry on my behalf even if I'm sad...they have fire flowers? what are those?
every time i die (the metalcore band) is peakFire Flowers let you fire fire from you hand when eaten or from the flower it self"
No one's going to cry on my behalf even if I'm sad...A special flower that allows one to gain the ability to shoot fire from their hands.
A common item seen in the Mario games.
Meet the Tamas!◊ I've come to retrieve my power.Yeah. Met Mario once. What a fat bastard.

every time i die (the metalcore band) is peakHey, Mario is a nice guy (that description sounds more like his rival, no offense cause Wario is cool too).
Yep, both of them have crossed over with our series!
Meet the Tamas!◊ I've come to retrieve my power. You guys know Mario? Jigglypuff told me about him and a certain Smash competition.
Would like to know that Mario you guys are talking about! He seems nice.
Never watched Naruto, but that face is definitely avatar-worthy.
nah i respect what ur saying, but ill prototype it sure.
