I stumbled upon Wormholes in the Metroid wiki, and it turns out that Federation Force has depicted the Space Pirates using wormholes post-Phazon, so I suppose that means that since 3, non-Phazon methods of wormhole generation were discovered.
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniMaybe they did some research on Leviathans and managed to replicate that?
How unfortunate that you are attempting to deceive me.https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1088784096061317120?s=19
Metroid Prime 4 being rebooted. Being developed by Retro.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."This almost certainly means a hell of a big delay but Retro being at the helm makes me feel like it'll be well worth the wait.
Oh really when?Well, at the very least they're honest. And hopefully this means we won't get something bizarre and awful.
I do hope this compels Nintendo to do an HD version of Prime trilogy in the interim, if just to give the fans something to play on Switch till MP 4.
Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...Yeah, I hope so too.
it's a bummer that they had to restart development, but hey, I'm glad that they are honest and transparent about it.
Today's word is "Oof." Alternatively, "Ouch."
But yeah, hopefully this means the game will be great in the end. Amazing that they had to essentially restart the whole shebang.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI'm glad. It means they're taking the franchise seriously.
Retro are basically a studio of Ascended Fanboy devs, so they know how to make a good game, instead of...Other M.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI would rather have a game I’m looking forward to be delayed and restarted under a new dev than be outright cancelled...twice (*glares at EA’s Star Wars output*)
I think a certain Trilogy would work as acceptable filler hint hint.
Didn't think Nintendo would ever admit something like this in a vodeo. Well, better than the alternative. See you in 2021 if we're lucky.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. On one hand, most of retro's old staff's gone. On the other hand, those guys went on to make Recore. I won't ask if anyone remembers that game, because I already know the answer. "Guess they're EX retro studios for a reason".
on the other other hand, there was that bit about people leaving the company leaving... pretty worrying observations of the company, and the fact that retro is only now doing metroid prime 4 means they either sat on their ass for several years or have been stuck in development hell ever since tropical freeze came out.
on the other other other hand, this was already precisely what retro was doing before nintendo came along and got them to work on metroid prime. So the studio being incapable of working without nintendo being behind their backs is old news, and the corolarry is that whenever nintendo is beihind them, they make gold-plated diamonds.
so I'm gonna lean on the optimistic but not too much staff.
If anything, the video goes to show once again the difference of mindset between nintendo and companies like electronic arts. And I very much like it.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Retro did the Switch port of Tropical Freeze themselves. And that came out under a year ago.

yeah, and that game originally came out in february 2014 and was the last of retro we saw. so unless they've spent the better part of five years porting the game to switch, they've either been sitting on their ass for the most of those time, or stuck in development hell.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."
Hey it takes a lot of time to add that amount of Funky to one game.
Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...The rumors said that they were working on Star Fox: Grand Prix, so that's either nearly done or cancelled.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Well, Retro began a hiring spree in mid-December, so it might have been that time when development shifted over to them.
Reggie on Prime 4 in Novermber 2018.
Sure Reggie.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. Not sure if that's actually contradictory. It was in development at the time he made the statement, it's just now whatever they had made has been scrapped and they're restarting it with Retro. Kinda of like what happened with the Cyber Connect version of the Final Fantasy VII Remake, I think.
Difference is, Nintendo is openly communicating the situation and being honest about it, whereas SE just sorta let that leak out as an open secret with no comment (although once the KH hype train slows down after that finishes releasing they might finally address what the deal is with VII Re later this year).
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyThey’ve expanded to launch alongside the PS5. Calling it now.
This feels almost exactly like the Zelda U delay. Well, cross-gen Breath of the Chozo is going to be hype when we finally get it.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I don't mind the Metroid Prime 4 delay since 1; Nintendo came out, explained why, and Retro Studios is back onboard and 2; Metroid Prime 4 is probably not the only Metroid project right now at Nintendo, especially since there's a decent chance Sakamoto is working on Metroid 5 right now.
Given that Nintendo looked at Other M and thought "This is acceptable. We can sell this", I am honestly curious just how terrible this thing was that they felt the need to throw the whole thing out and restart from scratch, when they were something like 9 months from the planned release.
I looked it up one time, and if you measure the distance from one edge of our galaxy to the other as 1X, then the distance to the closest galaxy is 10X.
