Ridley's appearance in Ultimate seems to be based primarily on his Super Metroid sprite◊, with some cues from his other designs, including the Other M one (but they used the good parts of it, such as the muscles).
Conclusion: I think they did a fantastic job with his Ultimate look. In fact, it might be the perfect Ridley design.
IIRC, they even had his Samus Returns hybrid look in there too, how he's half Meta-Ridley, half normal Ridley.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit. You have to scan stuff manually? That sucks. I liked how AM2R auto-scanned everything for you.
I'd like it to be like Pokemon games since Gen IV. When you see something, its name is automatically added to your codex but you have to scan it manually to get all of the information.
Although pickups, especially upgrades, should be added in full automatically when you pick them up to avoid Lost Forever.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Not manually. Just being close to the scan point does the work.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...Can I just say that I am tickled pink by the nickname "El Pollo Loco?"
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Thank you.
I just watched Alien and Aliens for the first time and it's really wild seeing how much Metroid is based off this series. I mean I always knew, but I never really knew. I think the moment that struck me the most was the end of Aliens when Ripley and Newt are doing the escape sequence from the exploding facility, only to find out the ship is missing. Suddenly, they are confronted by the Omega Metroid Alien Queen, and saved when the ship flies in dramatically.

But of course. Ridley has that name for a reason.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. What if Samus made a clone of Ridley and raised the clone to be her personal bodyguard?
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?If something like that happens, I could see it being named Rodney after Samus' dad.
Or, if the clone is somehow female, Ellen or Ripley as an Alien reference.

A female clone of Ridley? This I did not consider. What if Ridley's species has Bizarre Sexual Dimorphism? Maybe fem!Ridley is smaller and lacks wings. That'd be a good excuse to keep the character weaker than OG Ridley.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I'm late to the party, but! I legit screamed and woke up my poor cat and dog when I saw Ridley in Smash.
I can't believe all it took for Ridley to finally hit the big time was to sacrifice Mario and Mega Man.
Disappointed at the lack of Prime 4 news, but to be honest I wasn't really thinking we'd see it anyway. Hoping for it, sure, but still.
/crawls back under rockYou wouldn't necessarily have to keep the clone weaker, particularly if s/he were big enough that they couldn't fit into deep tunnels You could have a situation where the game treats them like the gunship in Corruption.
Cute.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's adorable and I love it.
I saw that comic earlier on KYM.
I will never NOT be amused by Bird Samus. My favorite is the idea of her wandering around mall parking lots pecking at discarded french fries.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Bird Samus is love. Bird Samus is life.
Bird Samus found a piece of foil and now its hers.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's been years and yet Bird Samus jokes have only gotten funnier for me. That comic is cracking me up.
/crawls back under rockBird Samus is best fanon
Gotta admit, Samus would be pretty awesome at the 3000-meter steeplechase for people who think they're chickens.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.I wonder how many awkward social situations Samus can get out of by yelling "I WAS RAISED BY BIRDS!" at the top of her lungs.
If I'm honest, I was willfully disregarding that.
