YMMV / Xolga and Mr. Toko

• Alternative Character Interpretation: Is the Locket evil, just a troll, or does it operate on a different standard of morals altogether?
• Fan-Preferred Couple: A surprisingly large amount of fans think Xolga and Mr. Toko should get together, in spite of Pacthesis insisting they wouldn't, due to Mr. Toko canonically being exclusively attracted to muscular women.
• Fridge Logic: Lampshaded by Mr. Toko on the re-population of the citizens in the Dreamboat Kingdom. Hilarity Ensues.
  Mr.Toko: How do you guys repopulate then?
  Xolga: NO. NO. NO. DON'T ANSWER THAT QUESTION.
• Harsher in Hindsight: After Mr. Toko's Dark and Troubled Past came to light, it's just so easy to read his ever-present smile and cheerful attitude as only half genuine, while the other half is his attempt to cope with all the bad things that happened to him.
• Heartwarming in Hindsight:
  • The fact that Ferris was still forced to be locked in a coffin, despite Xolga and Mr. Toko's attempt to defend him is really harsh. However, if you play Kingdom Days, you will see that he eventually gets released by Rose, the protagonist, and gets to either be friend with her or her lover.
  • Similarly, Daniel in episode 5 of season 2. Even though he wished for Xolga to stay with him a bit longer because he was happy someone was finally able to see him, Xolga assured him, asked him not to lose his hope. And in Kingdom Days, Rose also helps him get rid of the curse that made him invisible in the first place by The Power of Love.
  • Lance in episode 6 of season 2 wanted to run away from his kingdom because he felt trapped and no one seemed to care about him as a friend. But play Wonderland Days and you'll see that he eventually makes friends with Oliver, Clark and Jack, and although he has to return to his kingdom in the end, he now has Alice to keep him company.
• Ho Yay:
  • Even though Mr. Toko expresses that he likes a muscular girlfriend, he is really quite touchy-feely with Xolga. And Xolga reacts to it the way a Tsundere would.
  • Kai is really... devoted to finding Xolga, to the point that it basically becomes his character trait, even visible in Memory Days where he's a main character. As lampshaded by Pacthesis herself in the description of this picture, a lot of people think that he's gay for Xolga. It helps that Japanese people don't have a problem with cousins falling for each other...
