  • Awesome Music:
    • The action music.
    • Both romance tracksnote  are beautifully sweeping.
  • Author's Saving Throw: Following the pilot season, a common criticism of Villainous Nights was that despite the title and the promotional material which described the Syndicate as supervillains and promised themes of Grey And Grey or Black and Grey Morality, the main cast were never seen doing anything villainous and could at worst be considered Anti Heroes. Then came Renzei's first season debut, in which he kills about six Optimus mooks in his first three episodes and leaves no doubt why he's considered a villain.

    • Renzei's ass.Explanation
      • The fan fervor over Renzei's butt was so widespread that Lovestruck themselves got in on the fun and created another meme in the process: thanks to the emojis used in tweets and mobile push notifications regarding the character, Renzei is now permanently associated with knives and peaches.

  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The Reveal in Duke's fourth season that his parents are alive, but have had their memories of him erased is robbed of most of its impact by the fact that the characters in question are treated as little more than cardboard cutouts without sprites, names, or any dialogue. Their appearances are relegated to a couple of background mentions and neither Duke nor Monarch is ever shown directly interacting with them, robbing their situation of its pathos and making it difficult for the reader to connect with Duke's emotional reactions throughout the season.
