  • Adorkable:
    • Takuma, in spite of his appearance. He is timid, socially awkward and a Shrinking Violet. His tendency to shrink into Super-Deformed style also makes him look very cuddly.
    • Mutsumi too. Like Takuma, she is shy and has trouble speaking her mind (through she is far from the same level of social anxiety he has), which ramps up her cuteness.
  • Fetish Retardant: During some of the Fanservice scenes in the manga the breasts of the girls seem to spontaneously grow bigger from one panel to another. Whether the author does it on purpose or not is anyone's guess, but it becomes very silly if not downright funny when you notice it.
  • Slow-Paced Beginning: For the first few chapters, the series is mostly a formulaic member of the Harem Genre that produces Fanservice through clichéd Accidental Pervert situations and only had short battle for the sake of showing off the powers of the girls and explaining the Level-Up at Intimacy 5 mechanics. Then during the School Festival mini-arc we get for the first time a battle that lasts more than one chapter and has several Valkyries fighting at the same time in unfavorable conditions, while hints of a larger plot being developed are dropped. The main character also gets some much needed Character Development for the first time, and the Fanservice is taken up a notch.
  • Values Dissonance: Yakumo, the middle-school aged Shameless Fanservice Girl, is not a character that would be allowed to exist in many countries outside of Japan.
  • The Woobie: Takuma. Ever since he was a small kid everyone judged him for his scary appearance and he ended up isolated in society. His mother, the only person who ever treated him right, became ill and ultimately died, leaving Takuma alone in a world that wanted nothing to do with him. By the time the series starts, he has pretty much resigned himself to living a solitary life and given up on making friends.
