YMMV / One for the Money

• Critical Dissonance:
  • It's rated 2% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, and Katherine Heigl was nominated for a Razzie, but Stephanie Plum fans have been noticeably less vitriolic. Some of them, anyway.
  • Janet Evanovich, unlike most critics, initially expressed pleasure with the film, especially the performances of Katherine Heigl and Debbie Reynolds. She has become more reserved about it in recent years, however.
• One-Scene Wonder:
  • Fisher Stevens as Morty Beyers, the equally-pathetic bounty hunter Stephanie is filling in for. He gets blown up at the end of the scene.
  • Leonardo Nam as John Cho. One of the smallest characters in the film, he's also one of the most memorable.
