• Vindicated by History: As stated on the main page, the movie was a flop when it came out, and contributed to the end of the New Hollywood, but has since become seen as a Cult Classic (with fans such as Jean-Luc Godard naming it as one of their favorite movies), and though the movie was nearly a Creator Killer for Martin Scorsese, he regards it as one of his favorites of his own work.
