YMMV / Mortdecai

Go To

  • Designated Hero: Mortdecai. He's incompetent, thinks way too highly of himself, a coward who runs the second things get heated and lets Jock do all the truly hard work.
  • One-Scene Wonder: Jeff Goldblum as the American buyer Milton Krampf only gets a few short scenes (ending up murdered), but he's so amusingly Affably Evil and dry that he's arguably funnier than the Large Ham leads are at any point. There's also the — possibly intentional — Irony that a character who's supposed to represent vulgar Americans comes off as far more sophisticated than the Brits.
  • So Okay, It's Average: If we're being generous. It's not good, but as often happens with failed comedies it's not bad enough to be entertaining.
