- Fanfic Fuel: While Tsuburaya Productions still produces merchandise of Ultra heroes debuting after Ultraman Cosmos in the OVA's art style, no kaiju after Cosmos received the Super-Deformed treatment with the sole exception◊ of Jugglus Juggler. As such, it is common for fans to draw their own designs for those kaiju, such as this one featuring Greeza.
- Moe: Every single character fits this trope to some degree due to the art style and the low-conflict setting, with the exception of the giant Seabozu before he shrinks down and becomes chibified. The OVA's design for Ultraman even got his own mascot costume◊, which regularly makes meet-and-greet appearances at shops selling Ultraman merchandise.
- Sweet Dreams Fuel: The entire OVA counts as this, since it's about Super-Deformed Ultras and kaijus drawn in a childish, doodle-like art style frolicking together and having fun, freed from the franchise's usual conflict and collateral damage done by giant battles. The one giant monster that does appear, Seabozu, is a Gentle Giant that doesn't cause any destruction, and everyone cheers him up by playing music and getting him to dance.
- Unexpected Character: Among the numerous kaiju appearing in merchandise related to the OVA is Choirus, an incredibly minor kaiju who only appeared in one episode of The☆Ultraman and never received any other appearances ever since. It's not referred to by its proper name, however, instead by its Boss Subtitles of "Pterosaur Monster".
