YMMV / Leprechaun in the Hood

• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Even by this film's standards, some specific scenes are so weird that they don't really fit:
  • Coolio's appearance during the protagonists' performance at a church is so random that even the characters comment on it.
  • The Leprechaun visiting Postermaster P's blind grandma, who proceeds to feed the Leprechaun food like a child and accidentally yanks out his eye in the process. The fact that it's revealed to be a dream makes it even stranger.
• Memetic Mutation: The "friend with weed" quote and the Leprechaun rap.
• Retroactive Recognition: Anthony Montgomery's first major role (credited as A.T. Montgomery) playing Postmaster P, a year before gaining recognition for Star Trek: Enterprise.
• Signature Scene: "From the Emerald Isle to your place in the hood, I'm the man of green come to do no good!"
• Surprisingly Improved Sequel: As absurd as the film might sound from its summary, Leprechaun in the Hood is generally considered to be one of the best films in the series if not the best, thanks to better-than-average acting and its tongue-in-cheek approach. Then again, some people prefer the first two sequels over the last three.
