  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Is the protagonist in "Come Live with Me" honestly in love with the young girl he's seeking, or is he simply trying to groom her? The fact that he says "My friends began to talk, and I began to realize"' implies that he knows what he's doing is wrong.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Their first album included what was was essentially Human League filler from their previous album in that band, as they were transitioning from electronic pop music to more soul-inspired pop music.
  • Signature Song: "Let Me Go" and "Temptation", Latter not to be confused by the New Order song of the same name released during the same decade...
  • Unintentional Period Piece: "(We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang" refers to Ronald Reagan as "president-elect," which dates the song to the period between the November 1980 election and Reagan taking office in January 1981. LCD Soundsystem's cover replaced Reagan with Trump, but that song itself became dated when Trump left office in 2021.
  • Values Resonance: "(We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang" resonated with a lot of listeners in the 21st century, despite the datedness of its references to Ronald Reagan, in the wake of the resurgence of the far right in The New '10s, to the point where LCD Soundsystem recorded a cover that referenced Donald Trump.
