  • Broken Base: The Shilla Byul Elementary School Arc. A good commentary on Political Overcorrectness advocating for nuanced discussion or a very one-sided, simplified view of social justice deliberately presented through an unlikable strawman?
  • Catharsis Factor: Seeing the wardens put bullies in their place, whether they be students or teachers, is always immensely satisfying.
  • Common Knowledge: Contrary to what many fans believe, Hwajin Na and Gangseok Choi are not father and son. While Hwajin did greet him as dad in chapter 7, Gangseok’s immediate response was to give him a Death Glare and kicked him away, pissed that Hwajin dared to call him dad. If that was his actual father, why would he get so angry that his own child would greet him as dad? Need we be reminded that they both have completely different surnames? In that same chapter also states they’re visiting the grave of Gangseok’s daughter, Gayoon. It’s because of this event that strongly implies that Hwajin and Gayoon might have been in a romantic relationship, because in many Asian cultures, it’s a custom to refer to the spouses parents not by their given name but as your own parent. The final nail to the coffin in chapter 111 confirms once and for all that Gayoon was Hwajin’s fiancée before her death.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Surprisingly, Yeri has started to become this after her Heel–Face Turn, with many readers starting to root for her recovery and her brief cameo in episode 32 being very well received.
  • Estrogen Brigade: Mr. Na alone probably attracted a lot of female (and male) readers with his athletic physique and his rugged charm.
  • Fridge Brilliance: Mr. Na recruiting Gu Sera to get on the kids' level makes perfect sense when you realize he dealt with this situation before during the Runaway Arc with Yoon-Jung being scared of him.
  • Memetic Mutation: It has not gone unnoticed by any My Hero Academia fans who read the story that Hwajin Na has a very close physical resemblance to Shota Aizawa, despite their differing personalities. So there is a consistent running in-joke in the comments section that he is Eraserhead and has decided to take his teaching job to the next level. Even LINE Manga got in on the joke, because in this promo video, he's even voiced by Aizawa's Japanese voice actor, Jun'ichi Suwabe.
  • The Woobie: Poor Mien-so is only six years old but has been brutally abused by his father who resents the hell out of him for ruining his late teens and twenties due to becoming a father at a young age. And his mother is even worse with her abuse to the point where his father thinks that abusing Mien-so will end up protecting all of them. Despite their abuse, however, he loves his parents and takes it very hard when they're both arrested for their crimes against him.
