YMMV / Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2

  • Catharsis Factor:
    • The secret ending concludes with the player character giving Moon the last remnant of the Glitchtrap code, who then gives it to an enormous Vanessa (dressed in her Vanny costume). Vanessa barely hesitates before crushing the virus between her hands. Not only is his death cathartic for the sheer amount of suffering he inflicted over the last few games (plus the Tales From the Pizzaplex books if he's the Mimic, and all pre-Steel Wool games if he's Afton), he is killed off by the very person he emotionally abused for years.
    • The Bonk a' Bon minigame lets you bonk Bon-Bon, Bonnet, Helpy, and Plushbaby. All of these net you points (except for Helpy who loses you points) with Bon-Bon giving the least, and Plushbaby giving the most. Plushbaby specifically takes three hits to go down, so you get to hit the giggling child even more as revenge for its annoyance in the previous game.
    • After Minireenas proved themselves to be an extreme annoyance in Sister Location and Ultimate Custom Night, "Ballora Gallery" lets you grab them and hurl them bodily away from you. They even comically flail in your grasp.
  • Even Better Sequel: The general fan consensus is that the game takes everything that works about the original Five Nights At Freddys VR Help Wanted and turns it up to eleven. Not only are there more minigames, but the vast majority of them are completely new, with only the Sister Location levels being recreations of a previous game, meaning the vast majority of content in the game falls in line with the widely loved original content from the previous game. It helps that this game also offers some measure of closure on the lingering plot threads from Help Wanted and Security Breach by showing how Glitchtrap meets his end and Vanny is seemingly freed from his control, something only implied by the latter game.
  • Fan Nickname: Even though the official name given for the new Moon variant is "Jack-O-Moon" (to fit with Jack-O-Bonnie and Jack-O-Chica), a number of fans have taken to calling him "Harvest Moon", due to his orange coloration and clothes making him resemble a scarecrow.
  • Signature Scene: The moment when the player character unlocks the backroom, deactivates the AR inhibitor, and removes the VANNI AR mask they've been wearing the entire game, revealing they're in the ruined FNAF 6 Pizza Place, quickly became praised as one of the best twists in the series, especially since doing so is what unlocks the hard mode levels.
  • Take That, Scrappy!: In addition to the pretty brutal beatings they suffer during Bonk a' Bon, as mentioned above, the Plushbabies can also be mowed down with a bowling ball in the Bonnie Bowl stage, or shot out of the sky with a dart gun in the later Fazerblast stages. Certainly satisfying for anyone who suffered through their level in the original Help Wanted.
