YMMV / Batman vs. Two-Face

Go To

  • Accidental Innuendo: "Batman, look at the size of those balls!"
  • Alternate Character Interpretation: Did Harvey Dent really lose his memory of Batman's secret identity? It's possible he was misdirecting Bruce and Dick for his own reasons.
  • Awesome Music: Like the film before, the score for Batman Vs. Two-Face perfectly captures the feel of the original 1966 series' score and successfully modernizes it with additional theatrical flare.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Lucilee Diamond only has a couple of scenes, but makes an enormously positive impact for being an attractive and dedicated public defender who is voiced by a previous Catwoman actress and ends up forced to wear the costume herself, which is either a great Actor Allusion or supporting a popular Legacy Character theory about Catwoman that could support the original one and Batman ending up together.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: It's Adam West versus William Shatner. Who wouldn't want to see this movie just for that?
    • This is the last time that Adam West ever played Batman, and for many, that's enough of a reason to see it.
  • Questionable Casting: William Shatner as Two-Face. While he does a good job, Clint Eastwood was considered for the role on the original show and is still alive and still working causing those aware to wonder just why they went with Shatner. In fairness, Shatner was also considered for the part on the show too so it's really a matter of who someone would have preferred.
  • Spiritual Successor: In many ways, the tone here makes it feel more in line with Batman: The Animated Series, being darker than what came before it, yet can still appeal to both kids and adults without problem.
  • Unexpected Character: Hugo Strange. He predates the 1960s show, but he was inactive after his first few stories from the Golden Age until the 1970s when he became a regular villain.
