• Base-Breaking Character: Monokuma IC, apparently. Everyone seems to hate him, except Akuma, who seemed to seek out an alliance with him. Though Akuma dispenses with the alliance plan after chapter 6's execution after realizing that Monobear seems less interested in justice and more in killing as many people as possible.
• Creepy Cute: So many characters fall under this... so many...
• Ho Yay:
  • According to Hirashi's relationships page, apparently Hirashi has this with Toru. Toru finally kisses Hirashi just before chapter 5's trial vote, but since Toru is that chapter's culprit neither of the two can pursue it further, and Hirashi dates Yasu instead as of chapter 6.
  • In the aftermath of chapter 2's trial, Jaz is confirmed to have started to get a crush on Akemi, though Akemi kept something important a secret. However, as of chapter 3, it has been revealed that Akemi and Jaz are now a couple. Tragically, it's cut short when Akemi is murdered in chapter 6.
• Moe: Both Kiriko's outfit and personality just scream it.
