I'm taking non-YMMV examples to where they belong. Also improved Example Indentation.

* BaseBreaker: Monokuma IC, apparently. ''Everyone'' seems to hate him, except Akuma, who seemed to [[spoiler: seek out an alliance with him]].
** Though Akuma [[spoiler:dispenses with the alliance plan after chapter 6's execution after realizing that Monobear seems less interested in justice and more in killing as many people as possible.]]
* CastFullOfGay: Yet to be seen much IC, but it seems to be that way, according to the players. WordOfGay, possibly.
** Two official same-sex couples have been confirmed, namely Jaz and Akemi (two women) as well as Nakunaru and Ginji (two men). [[spoiler:Unfortunately, it's cut short in both cases: Jaz loses Akemi because Akemi's murdered in chapter 6, and Nakunaru and Ginji are both murdered in chapter 5.]]
** As of chapter 6, there's three, with Hirashi and Yasu (again, two males) being confirmed.
** In Astral Blue, [[spoiler:Exus Val and Shirogane "Rhythm" Katsumi become a couple in chapter 3; unfortunately, it is cut short when Exus Val is murdered in chapter 4.]]

possible]].

* HoYay: According to Hirashi's relationships page, apparently Hirashi has this with Toru. [[spoiler: Toru finally kisses Hirashi just before chapter 5's trial vote, but since Toru is that chapter's culprit neither of the two can pursue it further, and Hirashi dates Yasu instead as of chapter 6.]]
** [[HoYay Les Yay]]: In the aftermath of chapter 2's trial, Jaz is confirmed to have started to get a crush on Akemi, though Akemi kept something important a secret. However, as of chapter 3, it has been revealed that Akemi and Jaz are now a couple. [[spoiler:Tragically, it's cut short when Akemi is murdered in chapter 6.]]
* {{Moe}}: Both Kiriko's outfit and personality just scream it.
* NamesTheSame: Spinda, one of the newly introduced students, shares a name with a Pokemon introduced in Ruby and Sapphire. However, this is a coincidence; Spinda is a reference to the "Yo-Yo Champ" SHSL talent.
** Also, the SHSL Ripperologist Akemi Sekai shares a name with Homura Akemi, a character from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. During chapter 5's murder investigation, Monobear even jestingly pretends to get Akemi's name wrong and calls her "Homura" just to be a prick.
** One of the new students, Nikki, shares a name with Hirashi's mun. This causes light confusion for Hirashi's mun when [[spoiler: in chapter 6, everyone began to vote for Nikki Hera, IC. Hirashi's mun made a post saying she was half asleep and confused as to why everyone was voting for her.]]
** Warning, do not read this final example unless you want the endgame spoiled: [[spoiler: Astral shares a name with one of the organisations within the universe, the Astral Cabal, and in a meta sense, the roleplay group itself.]]
* PinkGirlBlueBoy: Possibly averted with Hirashi and Honoka: Hirashi's pink to Honoka's blue.
* QuicklyDemotedWoman: One could say Usami is this.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: [[spoiler:The chapter one case was actually randomized in reverse order, meaning that Heather would have been the victim and ''Kiriko'' would have been the chapter one killer. However, the two players switched roles.]] Also, Jaz's player has recently written a WhatIf alternate scenario for chapter 5 in which [[spoiler:Nakunaru and Ginji kill Toru instead of the other way around]]. Notably, in this alternate scenario, a culprit would have been caught by INeverSaidItWasPoison, saying it doesn't matter whether the pistol or the floor killed the victim...when nobody else even knew what kind of gun was used. WordOfGod also confirmed that an initial idea for chapter five's murder was [[spoiler: Toru still killing Nakunaru, but Ginji discovering this and killing Toru instead. Obviously, this plan was reversed.]] Several players also posted their unused [[CruelAndUnusualDeath executions]] at endgame, including the two escaped killers in a further example of this trope:
** [[spoiler: Jaz would have been suspended in the air by wires attached to her arms and repeatedly electrocuted, a Monobear bot switching a lever on and off to make the shocks longer each time. Eventually the lever would break in the 'ON' position and she would be left to be electrocuted. The wires would then break and Jaz would fall into a tank of water, the wires falling in after her for a final shock.]]
** [[spoiler: Ryouko would have found herself in a snowy area, apparently during Christmas time. She gets up to try and follow a melody she can hear, but suddenly feels the ground beneath her moving and the ground switchs places with the sky. Eventually she hits a glass surface which breaks, as it's revealed that a giant Monobear had put her inside a snowglobe. ]]
** [[spoiler: Nakunaru would have been put through a series of illusions that looked set to cause his death, as these dangerous tricks are normally set up and coordinated. All of them fail to kill him, however, and he emerges unharmed, only for the auidence members to start beating him to death.]]
** [[spoiler: Hirashi would have found himself in an interview situation, chained to a podium with a microphone in a TV show setup. At first he would have been asked questions about his clients, only for his Monobear audience to appear bored and a shot would be fired pat Hirashi's head. The questions would then change to become more personal, until finally he's asked whether he has anything to say to Yasu. Before he can complete his answer the thermometer behind Hirashi fills up and arrows with '100% AUDIENCE RATING!' spring out, and one hits him in the neck. ]]
** [[spoiler: Akuma would have dropped into a mock representation of Hell, chained to two demon robots that lead him towards a pool of lava. Just before they reach the pool however a chilling wind surges through the 'Hell', freezing the lake and deactivating the robots, leaving Akuma immobile as he's still chained to two of them. A angelic robot would then fly into the room and plunge a sword into his chest.]]
** [[spoiler: Artwork posted by Max's player appears to depict them standing in deep water holding a gun. WordOfGod confirms Max has aquaphobia.]]
** [[spoiler: Artwork posted by Aimé's player appears to depict him chained down to a convey belt, moving towards what looks to be an ignited oven.]]
** [[spoiler: Akemi would have found herself strapped to an elabourate Victorian style bed, a Monobear approaching her with the appearance of a streotypical Jack the Ripper image. She's repeatedly stabbed until the Monobear finally brings out a chainsaw, using it to cut off her head.]]
** [[spoiler: Nami would have been tied up to a large metal pole with a weather vane on top, with lightening strikes all around that got closer and closer each time. Eventually one would hit the metal pole to kill her.]]
** [[spoiler: Valentina's execution would have seen Monokuma throwing her around a stage and smacking her into walls like a puppet, dragging out her death until she ends up being hung.]]
** [[spoiler: Tomi would have been given an impossible level of the game Rock Band to play, eventually failing the song and being left in an empty room. When she tries to force open the door to leave she would be repeatedly shot at by machine guns.]]
** [[spoiler: Mikazuki would have been dropped into a rap battle with Monokuma, She would have gone first, dissing Monokuma and finding her words had no effect other than the bear growing in size. It would then be Monokuma's turn, the words being spoken actually becoming real weapons that slice through Mikazuki.]]
** [[spoiler: Yasu would have found himself in a robotics lab, with nothing to do but walk forward. He would have heard a noise and tried to leave, only for a robotic version of his former partner to grab him by the ankle, and then lift him up by the neck to yell at him about an unexplained former incident where Yasu somehow caused his former partner to lose an arm. After giving Yasu a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech because Yasu "didn't tell him anything", the robotic version of Yasu's former partner would have gotten an axe and buried it first in Yasu's arm, then his gut, then finally his neck, decapitating Yasu with this final strike.]]
