Inspired by Iceland is a YouTube channel focusing on advertisements for travel to Iceland.

Tropes:

  • Cover Innocent Eyes and Ears: In "The Hardest Karaoke Song in the World", Steindi goes to a swimming pool but forgets to wear a swimsuit, so a woman covers her daughter's eyes in front of him.
  • Department of Redundancy Department: Exploited in "The Hardest Karaoke Song in the World" with the lyric "And you can rent a bílaleigubíll"; literally: "And you can rent a car-rental-car". By making the word redundant, it fits the meter of the song, and it sounds much more like an unpronounceable foreign word.
  • Funny Background Event: In "The Hardest Karaoke Song in the World", Steindi spills his coffee while singing "What could possibly go wrong?".
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: In "The Hardest Karaoke Song in the World", the Icelandic words' inflections are altered to match the song's rhythm (instead of being grammatically correct).
  • Reaction Video: "Tourists sing the Hardest Karaoke Song in the World" is one for "The Hardest Karaoke Song in the World".
  • The Unpronouncable: Lampshaded heavily in "The Hardest Karaoke Song in the World" and "Tourists sing the Hardest Karaoke Song in the World".
