Drawn By Pain
is a free twelve-episode Web Original series mixing live action sequences and animation. It centers on Emily, a young woman whose life turned very surreal indeed after her abusive father attempted to beat her... at which point the superheroine who she drew as a distraction came to life and slaughtered him — and then her loving mother.
The creator's preferred cut can be found here, a version which is about 30% shorter than the original 12-episode series.
Drawn By Pain provides examples of:
- Bloodless Carnage: Averted, her powers work inside the victim's mind, so any hits would register as raw pain despite the animated blood spurts.
