The Interviewed is a series of Five Nights at Freddy's animations created by j-gems
, centering around individual interviews with a number of animatronics from the FNAF series, with a larger overarching plot emerging as the series continues. There are fifteen entries in the series thus far, with more to come.
The Interviewed contains examples of:
- Adaptational Nationality: While the mainline series presumably takes place in America, the animatronics depicted have notable accents, ranging from Australian to British. Cassidy serves as a notable exception.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Withered Bonnie is noted to be one of the more aggressive animatronics in the games, while here, he's a friendly guy who, unlike the others, doesn't even kill his interviewer and befriends him later on.
- Adaptational Sympathy: While most of the Animatronics are still willing to murder humans, they serve as the Point of View characters towards the latter half of the series, with many moments serving towards character-building moments.
- Artifact Title: Starting from An Interview with Foxy, animatronic interviews don't even appear once; the story is now the main focus.
- Berserk Button: Cassidy/Golden Freddy gets their's pushed when Lefty says she understands their anger.
- Mind Hive: Ennard contains each of the Funtime Animatronics within him, resulting in instances where an animatronic briefly takes over his body for one reason or another.
- Jump Scare: Almost each solo interview ends with one, with the animatronic killing their interviewer in some fashion.
- Named by the Adaptation: Golden Freddy is named "Cassidy" here. It's implied he has retained his name because he was William Afton's first victim.
- No Name Given: "Good Bloke", the animatronics' human ally.
- Once More, with Clarity: Springtrap's interview is revisited, only with the reveal that Ennard has taken over the interviewer's body.
- Time Abyss: Implied by Nightmare Chica, when she asks if Nightmare Bonnie is still counting his age, or if he stopped after being murdered by Afton.
- Token Good Teammate: Withered Bonnie and "Good Bloke" serve as these for the Animatronic and Human teams respectively; Withered Bonnie spares Good Bloke because he "looks like a good bloke", and Bloke joins the animatronics' side after the animatronics convince him that the General left him behind.
