It was a small miracle.

Rabi is a person reincarnated as a stuffed rabbit. One day, a little girl named Himari Naruse takes him home. A bond of unchanging feelings between the two that transcends the passage of time soon begins.

Rabbit Heart! is a freeware kinetic Visual Novel made with TyranoBuilder by the amateur group →Quantize_, and is also their second work, after The Saddest Smile in the World. Originally released in Japan in October 2017, it has an English and Spanish localization courtesy of the Spanish translation group Shinzou Translations in September 2023.

Both the English and Spanish versions can be found here.

Rabbit Heart! contains the following tropes.

  • Coming of Age Story: The story is about Himari's growth through the years, with Rabi witnessing how she has changed in more ways than one.
  • Continuity Nod: It's highly implied that the cookies Himari's family eats during their vacation are the same ones manufactured by Segawa Confectionery, the company where Gaku, the protag of The Saddest Smile in the World, works at. The cute design of the cookies and the presence of mascots in the package also imply that Miu's efforts to leave her own mark on this world are not in vain.
  • The Darkness Before Death: Once Rabi realizes he's being thrown away for good by Himari, he can see and feel himself wrapped up in darkness as he accepts his inevitable fate. It only takes Himari's realization (of what she did as a knee-jerk reaction) for Rabi to get out of the darkness for good.
  • Evolving Title Screen: Once you complete the game, the title screen changes to the one displaying little Himari holding both Rabi and Sherry (the stuffed turtle).
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: Near the end of the story, we learn why Rabi gets so emotional when he was unexpectedly thrown away by Himari during a day in her middle school life. In his previous life, Rabi simply wanted someone to turn to when he was troubled, but no one listened, so he took his own life.
  • Reincarnation: The game's premise is about a person who's reincarnated into a stuffed animal. And there is a good darn reason for that reincarnation: He simply wanted someone who would listen to him, which he couldn't get in his previous life.
  • The Stinger: After the credits roll, Himari, now a mother herself, bestows a cleaned-up and restored Rabi to her daughter.
