- Adored by the Network: It was broadcast in the UK on the channel CITV from the late 1980s to the early 1990s, and was repeated regularly on Channel 4 from 1993-1996.
- Breakaway Pop Hit: The original Japanese theme song Fly Away - Yume no Hikouki has gotten some popularity separately from the cartoon, and was sampled by Future Funk artist Yung Bae for the Fly With Me song/music video.

- The Other Darrin: Bob Lovely was normally played by Cheryl Chase in English but some episodes had him being filled in by Brianne Siddall.
- The Other Marty: The original promo pilot
for the English dub had different voices for the characters such as Mike Reynolds as Wowser, Robert Barron as Professor Dingy, Jeff Winkless as Ratso, and Iona Morris as Beatrice. Winkless would be moved to the part of Wowser himself for the proper dub with Simon Prescott taking over as the professor, Robert Axelrod voicing Ratso, and Melanie MacQueen playing Beatrice. Reynolds also returned as Officer Whistle for the occasional episode.
