- Accidentally-Correct Writing: The Mimic/Whisper pairing originated from a joke referencing "Toxic" by Britney Spears (Whisper's mother) and how Mimic, being Whisper's canon Arch-Enemy, could be toxic. Turns out all octopuses are venomous, thus "toxic".
- Write What You Know: Much of the roleplay is inspired by Jackal-Squad's influence of and experience with music:
- Cream, a young child, having to be with Kidz Bop and despising it is based on Jackal-Squad's experience of being only able to listen to children's music like Kidz Bop in her childhood.
- While not about music, Mephiles the Dark's constant emotional letting of himself and depressive episodes are inspired by Jackal-Squad's similar experiences.
- Write Who You Know:
- The re-characterizations of Eclipse and Reveron, two wolves who serve as Co-Dragons under T-Series, are based on Jackal-Squad's brother, who is a fan of wolves (especially werewolves) and T-Series.
- Zarek's anti-Internet and social media beliefs are based on Jackal-Squad's parents' strict rules on Internet usage, such as only being able to visit certain sites.
- Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: Inevitable for a roleplay. Specifically, much of the plot and characterization are come up by Jackal-Squad on the whim, contributing to the overall weirdness.
