• Dueling Dubs:
  • There's two Japanese dubs: one for the Tokyo Broadcasting Service (TBS) at 1991 and another one for TV Asahi in 1992, which is also used for the home video versions.
  • Latin America also has two dubbed versions, one in the 1980s and another newer one at the 2010s.
• Similarly Named Works: A 1986 revenge film and a Golden Age comic.
• Vindicated by Cable: Played in heavy rotation on HBO in the late 1980s, giving a lot more exposure than the theatrical release.
• What Could Have Been:
  • In an interview with Mike Marvin, the creator of The Wraith, he wanted to do more detail in terms of The Wraith's origin and abilities.
  • There was originally a subplot where Sheriff Loomis visited a prairie witch in order to figure out The Wrath's motivations. Scenes were shot centered around this subplot, but ultimately no actress was hired for the witch so everything got scrapped.
  • A sequel script was written which had Packard and his gang returning as evil counterparts to The Wraith.
  • Johnny Depp was up for a role as one of Packard's gang members due to him dating the lead actress at the time as well as impressing Mike Marvin. But he was dropped because one of the producers simply didn't like him.
