- Jamison was a preferred choice as a vocalist for Deep Purple, after Ian Gillan left the band in the late 1980s, but the record company did not let it happen. They had to choose Joe Lynn Turner instead.
- "Eye of the Tiger" was originally not meant to exist at all. Sylvester Stallone had asked permission from Queen to let him use "Another One Bites the Dust" as the theme song to Rocky III, and when they denied him permission, his backup plan was to turn to Survivor and commission them to make a theme song for the movie, prompting them to create "Eye of the Tiger". Had Queen given Stallone permission to use the song, Survivor's biggest hit would never have been created.
