  • Colbert Bump: This film got a raise of interest due to the "Shenanigans" scene being partially included in Phoenix Wrong.
  • Defictionalization: The Bulletproof Jockstrap. Body armor designed to protect the groin area is now being fielded in Iraq and Afghanistan, nicknamed "Bulletproof Boxers" or "Blast Boxers". Along with painful puns about the military protecting their Privates.
  • Dyeing for Your Art: The Broken Lizard members all grew real mustaches, and everyone was so amused at how patchy Kevin Heffernan's turned out that our first look at him is a giant close-up of it. They also specifically worked out their forearms to try and make them look more burly on camera (Farva is even seen using the same equipment made for building forearm muscle in one scene).
  • Fake American: Though he does an extremely convincing job with the accent, Brian Cox is actually Scottish.
  • Fake Nationality: The German male tourist is actually Dutch.
  • Saved from Development Hell: Fans spent years clamoring for a sequel but Broken Lizard had trouble getting it greenlit. Although they eventually got studio approval, they had to finance the film themselves. The troupe started a Indiegogo fundraiser and reached their $2 million goal in just 24 hours.
  • Screwed by the Network: Sort of. Bobbi, Thorny's girlfriend and mother of his son has two of her three scenes cut from some television edits. While her second scene where Throny and her have fun with the German couple is edited out obviously because of nudity, her introduction scene where they watch their son Arlo play baseball was probably cut for time constraints leaving almost no introduction of her. Her only remaining scene being where the troopers get a letter from the Governor. Besides a mention of her in an earlier scene, TV viewers may be confused on exactly who she is.
