  • Acting for Two: In Journey, some players play two characters during the story, while in Scoundrels, players can have two characters (though, back when this rule was added, it was limited so one character deals in combat and the other deals in noncombat).
  • Creator Backlash: Deathgrunt considers how he portrayed Viper in the beginning as this.
  • God Does Not Own This World: Major chunks of the game's lore and universe were added by the players without first consulting the GM. The group would roll with it.
  • International Coproduction: There are players from all over the world, though it is mostly folks from North America and Europe.
  • The Other Darrin: When players leave the game or go inactive, their characters eventually get taken over by the GM (as was the case with Jeremy in Journey).
  • What Could Have Been: According to Word of God, the original game was originally going to be a space survival game where members would have to last a large amount of days until they delivered the Oracle to Termina Central which resulted in winning. This changed when others added story lore into the mix and the GM decided to play along and create a story about it.
    • Zealot Kalpyr was originally going to die by Crimson Son snipers to invoke the more threatening enemy but because the GM thought that Kalpyr had more potential later on instead he escaped.
    • When Sega thought up the scenario involving the State Security in its arc, he figured there would be only two options in regards of the bomb, either attempting to defuse the bomb via dice roll or running away and accept the consequences. He forgot about the third option, which was using Dwan's caldiur to dispose of the bomb safely.
    • Deathgrunt planned an arc that would detail Viper's time when it was captured by Pheonix Corps. Ultimately, it was abandoned, due to DG dealing with life issues at the time. However, DG will be streamlining the arc and heavily downsizing it, allowing it to be added in the Novelization of the RP.
  • Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: In Journey, player actions during the shootout on Duroma differed so radically from the GM's expectations that he later admitted to improvising almost all of it.
