  • DVD Commentary: Back when the show was on, Jim Kreig and other remembers of the cast and crew did commentaries for the episodes in the second half of the season and put them online.
  • Diagnosis of God: According to The No Ones, the show's version of Watch. is autistic (he mentions to the interdimensional alien girl that people who don't understand him view him as just a kid "on the autism spectrum" and he apologizes to his mom for the way he acts sometimes, implying that it's been a problem for him for a long time), though the only signs of his autism are his obsession with science and technology and being unable to interact with others, which are actually all the classic traits of a nerd.
  • Production Posse: The TV show was created by Billy Brown and Dan Angel, who also created The Haunting Hour. Thus, most of the show's crew previously worked on that show.
  • Recycled Script: Both The Wishing Stone and The Creature in the Teacher basically retread the "two members of the gang get taken by aliens while the others have to save them" idea from Aliens in the Sky.
  • Technology Marches On: Phone Fears plot involves both phones and the internet, so this was inevitable. Slightly downplayed compared to most examples, but it still mentions dial-up and only Bryce has a cell-phone.
  • Out of Holiday Episode: The Evil House. It's a Halloween Episode, but the book came out in early 1997, while the episode aired in November.
  • Out of Order: The episode of The Howling Ghost notes that it is still summer, even though the previous episode was a Halloween episode, meaning it is likely this episode was produced first.
  • Serendipity Writes the Plot: Keean Johnson, who plays Adam, was doing publicity in L.A. when they were filming Oh Monster, My Monster, so his role was reduced to a subplot in the episode.
  • Tuckerization: The local bay is called Pike's Bay.
  • What Could Have Been: According to one of the commentaries, they wanted to adapt Attack of the Killer Crabs but they didn't have to budget to do so, so Shell Shock was devised as a compromise.
    • Similarly, they were going to adapt Night of the Vampires but came up with the idea of a vampire dance, so Blood Drive was created instead. The hospital setting from the book was expanded into an original episode, ''Critical Care''.
    • Pike had plans to continue the series, and bring Ann back after her departure in the final book, but a combination of other projects and a real life accident prevented it.
    • As detailed here, Season 2 almost happened, to the point where a few scripts were written, but the shift from The Hub to Discovery Family likely caused the show to be canned. One notable plan was to have Cindy finally be part of the main cast.
    • An article in Disney Adventure magazine advertised the book series calls it a "12 book series", implying it was only supposed to last that long but was popular enough to be renewed.
    • The TV series was announced to premiere in the fall of 2012, but for unknown reasons it was pushed back to the following year.
    • TV Series creators Billy Brown & Dan Angel were supposed to be showrunners for the whole series. However, The Haunting Hour got an expected renewal and they had to focus on the final season of that show instead. Jim Kreig was brought in to replace their role.
