- Author's Saving Throw: Although reviews of the game upon release were at best mixed, the developers evidently took the criticisms to heart and released a patch on 11/16/2022 that addressed many of the complaints, including too-slow running speed (with the addition of a dash toggle), slowness or monotony of battles (with the addition of a "fast battle" mode), the lesser number of demons compared to other installments (with the addition of four new demons), and even adjusted nitty-gritty details like the length of time loading screen tips are shown, the spawn rate of enemies, and the rate of demon skill inheritance during demon fusion.
- Multi-Platform: In a first for an internally-developed Atlus game, the game launched on a variety of platforms, including 8th and 9th generation consoles as well as PC.
- Sequel Gap: The game was released on 2022, 10 years after the Nintendo 3DS remake of Soul Hackers, 14 years after Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon, which was the latest game in the Devil Summoner series released at the time, and 25 years since the first game's release on the Sega Saturn.
- The Other Darrin: Daman Mills replaces Tara Platt as the voice of Madame Ginko.
