Trivia / Sodor

Go To

  • Acting for Two: CyberRusty99 voices every character in the first five episodes. Even after Sodor II establishes a full cast, he still voices a sizeable number of roles. The other voice actors themselves are also examples, most of whom having played at least two characters.
  • The Other Darrin: With the introduction of a voice cast in Sodor II, multiple major roles played by CyberRusty99 in the first season, including Duck, Toby, Thomas and Skarloey, now have separate voice actors.
  • Saved from Development Hell: "The Vicarstown Gambit" took so long to be finished that both "Deceit" and the first season finale were made to pass the time. According to CyberRusty99, at least one voice actor sent their lines in three years before the episode was released.
  • Schedule Slip: Episodes often take a long time to come out. There are two 18-month gaps between the first 3 episodes of Sodor II, and overall there has never been more than two episodes released in one year. "Last Chance" seems to buck the trend, however, being released around 2 and a half months after the previous episode, despite being over half an hour long.
  • Uncredited Role: Apart from a general "Created by" credit, CyberRusty99 usually doesn't credit themself for their work, as it's already assumed he is the writer, director, editor, and main voice actor. Averted in the three Sodor Presents episodes, where he has a "written, directed and told by" credit.
  • What Could Have Been: As noted by CyberRusty99 in this video and mentioned on the page, Chester was just going to be a one off character back in Deceit but ultimately Cyber decided to expand Chester’s role in the series.
