Trivia / 17 Again (2009)

• Actor Allusion: Once again, Zac Efron plays a high schooler who is good at basketball.
• Dawson Casting: Zac Efron (22), Michelle Trachtenberg (24), and Allison Miller (25) as 17-year-olds.
• Dear Negative Reader: In his memoir, Matthew Perry expressed bewilderment that some reviewers criticized his performance as the older Mike for coming across as "tired" when that was exactly his intention while playing the role.
• On-Set Injury: Zac Efron suffered from appendicitis toward the end of filming. Thomas Lennon advised Efron that it was in fact, bad wind and advised him to hang upside down to cure it. What started out as a stomach ache, soon led to him checking it out after filming and having surgery the same night.
• Similarly Named Works: With the movie of the same name that has Tia and Tamera Mowry and their brother Tahj. The title of the movie however is not written in the number 17 though.
