- It's an Animated Adaptation of a card game that's only moderately popular and poorly critically received. Even after the studio and staff were announced, nobody expected a watchable show, let alone a beautiful-looking love letter to high fantasy and Hollywood swashbuckler films.
- It should be noted, though, that the game is one of the most popular mobile phone games in Japan, and this is the reason the animation is so good, because the company has the cash to spare.
