- Breakthrough Hit: Due to the short's huge success, Chuck Workman went on to become a "king of montages" in '90s, as he later made many film montages for the Academy Awards and Turner Classic Movies. He also had a hand in creating the original film montage finale
for The Great Movie Ride at Walt Disney World and a huge compilation tribute to Alfred Hitchcock for a former attraction at Universal Orlando. Besides montages, Chuck also made The Beat Generation essay The Source, the Orson Welles film Magician, the cineaste fest What Is Cinema and the avant-garde tribute Visionaries.
- Deleted Scene: Chuck Workman once mentioned in an interview that the montage originally contained even more film clips, but that he was forced to cut them due to time constraints set by the DGA.
- Milestone Celebration: The short was commissioned to honor the 50th anniversary of the Director's Guild of America.
