Trivia / Petrocelli

  • California Doubling: The series takes place in the fictional Arizona city of San Remo, but it was filmed on location in the very real Arizona city of Tucson.
  • Cast the Expert:
    • In the episode "Music to Die By" the country/rock singer that Tony defends is played by real-life country/rock singer Ricky Nelson.
    • The episode "A Falling Star" is about a faded Western actor charged with murdering a producer. The actor is played by Ken Curtis, who a few months before wrapped up a long run as Festus Haggin on Gunsmoke.
  • The Danza: In the episode "A Deadly Vow", the prosecutor, Mr. Eastin, is played by Steve Eastin!
  • Fake Nationality: Barry Newman, of Belarusian and Austrian descent, played Italian lawyer Tony Petrocelli.
  • Tyop on the Cover: In the credits for the episode "A Fallen Star", two actors have their names misspelled. Noble Willingham's first name is spelled 'Nobel', and George Petrie has the 'e' missing from his name (credited as 'Petri').
  • You Look Familiar: Quite a few cases of this. Here's a few:
    • Rosemary Forsyth in "The Golden Cage" and "A Deadly Vow".
    • Morgan Woodward in "The Golden Cage" and "A Night of Terror".
    • William Windom in "The Golden Cage" and "Shadow of Fear".
    • Glenn Corbett in "Edge of Evil" and "Five Yards of Trouble".
    • Harold Gould as D.A. Haskell Fox, whom Petrocelli calls 'Foxy', in the episodes "Death in High Places", "Mirror, Mirror On the Wall" and "Shadow of a Doubt". Gould also played the D.A., Eric P. Scott, in the theatrical film The Lawyer, that introduced the Petrocelli character.
    • Stefanie Powers in the second Petrocelli movie, the TV-movie Night Games, and the episode "Mirror, Mirror On the Wall".
    • Erica Hagen in the episodes "Mirror, Mirror On the Wall" and "To See No Evil". In both she played a well-endowed resident of a singles apartment complex, and her character's name is Shirley in both. She flirts with Tony both times!
    • Simon Scott in "An Act of Love" and "A Lonely Victim".
    • Jack Ging in "A Very Lonely Lady" and "The Gamblers".
