• Crossdressing Voices:
  • Quite a few male characters in the series have female voice types. For example, Goth Boy has the same voice type as Poppy and Grandma Ruthie, except pitched down to sound more like a boy.
  • The player's character can have this, too.
• Follow the Leader: Seeing how the game is released for Nintendo consoles first, it's obvious that MySims is EA's take on Animal Crossing except with chibis and The Sims trademark. Further games avert this though, and the DS version of the first MySims is a different Minigame Game.
• Referenced by...:
  • Many games in The Sims have made references to these games; in The Sims 3: Generations, for example, Zombie Carl or Morcubus may appear while Sims are telling scary stories.
  • When you start playing The Sims Social, you're first greeted by a Sim in a red shirt named Buddy. On top of that, the guys behind that game must have done the research, because Buddy from MySims was originally a brunette in the concept art, much like the Buddy from The Sims Social.
• What Could Have Been:
  • There have been a few instances of characters being planned to appear, but then cut. Notably, this include Odin, Rob, Faith Connors, and Isaac Clarke (among others) in MySims Agents. (On the other hand, the latter made it into SkyHeroes.)
  • Certain characters also had different designs in the concept art and beta for the first game. Buddy had brown hair, Vincent and Roxie were white, and Poppy was going to be black and have Dolly's dress.
  • MySims Sky Heroes was originally planned as a direct sequel to MySims Agents, before being re-tooled as a stand-alone racing game.
  • There is supposed to be another game called MySims Friends which has started development back when SkyHeroes was nearing its completion; the gameplay would be akin to that of The Sims 3 (and would likely feature large, open-world neighborhoods) and had a wide variety of customization options, and a Denser and Wackier tone that contrasts with the Darker and Edgier storyline of Agents and SkyHeroes. This was cancelled when EA decided to move The Sims series on a different direction and MySims series, unfortunately, isn't one of them.
  • There were plans for a sequel to Agents where a new character Morgan, along with Dragomir and Svetlana, appearing and taking over SPA, forcing you to start your own agency. There was even a level where you go to the Nightmare Realm!
