Trivia / Mario's Monday Night Massacre

Go To

  • He Also Did: willisaclown, one of the mod's composers, is also part of the team working on Mario 85.
  • Meaningful Release Date: The mod released on October 31st, 2022, which in addition to being Halloween, was on a Monday.
  • Prop Recycling: The vocals for MX's false hero form in "Familiar", which are also the real Mario's vocals in "Ground Zero", are reused from Mario's Mushroom Mayhem.
  • Role-Ending Misdemeanor:
    • At one point, Nominal Dingus was one of the composers for the mod, but after allegations of sexual harassment came out against them, they were removed from the project and any songs that they composed were scrapped.
    • Mystica, the composer for Secret History Mario's song "Cover-Up", was outed for having a rape fetish, and has since been Unpersoned from the team, being uncredited for their work.
  • Self-Adaptation: Inferno, the former owner of MX, is the director of this mod.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • "Burning Hatred" was originally composed by Nominal Dingus, but following Nominal's Role-Ending Misdemeanor, Chase Redding replaced them as the song's composer.
    • MX originally had a song called "Innocence", but it was scrapped and presumably replaced with "Hero's Doom".
    • "Hero's Doom" was originally called "Doomsday", but due to that also being the name of a song from Mistful Crimson Morning, the name change was done to avoid confusion.
    • At one point, a meme version of Mario known as Gilbert was planned as an opponent with a song called "Blackout", but this song was scrapped after Nominal Dingus was removed from the team, with Gilbert getting moved to Friday Night Funkin': CLASSIFIED and being given a new song altogether.
  • Word of God: Ighby, the coder for the pause menu and results screen, as well as the designer for Boyfriend's sprites in the mod, didn't know that the white overalls and blue undershirt color combo was already used by and heavily associated with SMG4 from Supermarioglitchy4's Super Mario 64 Bloopers until people pointed it out.
