  • In Memoriam: Lifeline: Beside You in Time was dedicated to Dave Justus' late father William.
  • Inspiration for the Work: According to the creators, the Lifeline series was created as "sort of like if The Martian were a game instead of a movie, and you got to talk to Mark Watney the entire time he’s stranded on Mars." Ironically, a Licensed Game adaptation of The Martian in the same format as the Lifeline series would be released the following year after the first entry.
  • Schedule Slip: Beside You in Time was originally slated for a 2021 release, but was pushed back to the following year instead.
  • Screwed by the Network: Forced by owner Big Fish Games to explore alternative monetisation methods (read: microtransactions), 3-Minute Games launched the "Lifeline Library" app, followed by "Lifeline Universe", the latter of which was stuffed with Shovelware, which was itself stuffed with "premium choices" that cost money to unlock. Fans were livid - particularly when this model was used for Bad Astronaut, a Taylor story considered mediocre at best - and to make matters worse, the whole thing was shut down in late 2018, making the little halfway decent content such as Creeping Fog and Whiteout 2 completely inaccessible, given they were stored on BFG's servers rather than downloaded.
    • Has a Happy Ending now, since, as of 2021, the original creators now have the rights to the series back and are planning a new game, which would become Beside You in Time.
