  • Vinograd talks extensively about Some Knock Off Game, and his task even involves locating a copy of the game. This has stayed this way, despite the game's rename.
  • In general, there seem to be a lot of call-backs to SKOG. The old logo can be seen on a computer in the computer lab, there is a Bland-Name Product called "SKOGify", and the credits song includes a lyrical nod. In addition, though the line between canon and fanon is extremely blurred, a common fan nickname for the university is "Skog Skola".
  • One of the teachers, Alex, provides some examples of this.
    • Alex talks about suddenly being thrust into the role of a teacher with no preparation. In the free version, they weren't a teacher at all, but a student.
    • Alex also talks about looking up to a performer they used to watch; the performer, Seiko Seisekkai, has been cut from the game but appeared in the free versions.
  • Coffee talks about how she used to have a cat named Jasmine, but then lost it; for most of the free version development, there was a cat named Jasmine who followed Simp.
  • The very first Senpai model made for SKOG, before it was changed to have red hair as an homage to Yandere Simulator's Witness-chan, is reused as an Easter egg, also named Jasmine.
• Mythology Gag: "BACH BAKA", the prominent words on Simp's jacket and on one of the alternative designs seen in the free version, are actually an inside joke of the Bacchus YouTube channel.
• Trolling Creator: IDTCYCITYG is full of examples of Bacchus adding features not to get a good game, but to get some laughs out of it. For example, he completely forewent furnishing the second floor of the main university building, and considered adding Raibaru instead of Jasmine, out loud, "since she does count as a pet since she follows Osana all the time".
