  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: These days, it is next to impossible to acquire the original coded, let alone footage of it, as it is an obscure mobile phone game that was exclusive to Japan and predates the modern concept of phone games by such a large degree that the chances of anyone preserving a copy of it is ludicrously unlikely.
  • New Work, Recycled Graphics: Re:coded lifts many characters models and some level geography from Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, the previous Kingdom Hearts game made for the DS.

  • No Export for You: The original cell phone version never left Japan due to being too intensive for most phones of the time.
  • The Other Darrin: In 2.5's English dub of the remastered cinematics, Jim Meskimen voices the Genie, taking over from Dan Castellaneta, who previously voiced him in the series.
  • Remade for the Export: The Japanese cell phone game was remade for the Nintendo DS for the sole purpose of bringing it to America.
  • What Could Have Been: Re:coded was initially supposed to be a straight port job instead of a remake. An episodic WiiWare release a la Final Fantasy IV: The After Years was also considered.
