Trivia / Hime-chan's Ribbon

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Himeko and Erika are voiced by Ikue Otani. Justified, given that Erika is Himeko's Magical "other self".
  • Cross-Dressing Voices:
    • Kazue Ikura provides her voice to Pokota, Himeko's magical pet toy.
    • Daichi Kobayashi is one of the few voice-acting roles that Yuu Daiki has on her belt.
  • No Export for You: The manga and the anime series have yet to see a release in the United States. The anime series is easily subjected to remain in limbo due to SMAP's participation in it. Johnny & Associates has a reputation for having a controlled iron grip over their acts, to even block their artists' related work (in recent years, it looks like it has loosened if only a little) worldwide, be it not only their music but also dramas, anime, and video game-related work. To put an example, SMAP performed the original opening theme for Akazukin Chacha during that show's initial run, and it had to be rearranged by a different singer for the Japanese home release. And the less said about Kodocha's license case through Funimation, the better.
  • Stunt Casting: SMAP's member, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, voiced Kouichi Hasekura, Himeko's senpai from Drama Club. This was made possible since SMAP also composed the OP & ED theme songs in the series. However, Kouichi stopped appearing once he started dating Himeko's older sister, Aiko.
  • Technology Marches On: For viewers or readers who were born in or find out about the series in the 21st century, the late '80s/early '90s technology that appears may look strange for them, like the frequent use of landline phones and payphones, in an era where inalambric phones and cellphones exist.
