• Channel Hop: Just like the last movie, Halloween Ends was also released on Peacock the same day it hit theaters.
• Missing Trailer Scene:
  • Various scenes and images show a variety of moments that weren't in the final film, from Michael standing on the stairs with a bloody knife, to Laurie screaming violently, to Michael stabbing a pillow while trying to kill Deb.
  • A particular scene in the first trailer shows what seems to be Corey entering Laurie's house and walking up to her study in a single POV shot. This scene is left out in the final cut.
• Torch the Franchise and Run: Ends isn't kidding when it positions itself as the conclusion of this version of the franchise. Michael Myers is definitively killed and his corpse is thrown into a junk grinder, and earlier in the film, Michael kills Corey Cunningham, who was shaping up to be his successor.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The alternate ending of Kills, namely the scene of Laurie taking the knife and leaving the hospital, implied that Ends would take place on the same night as the previous two films. However, Green and McBride changed this after the film was delayed by COVID-19.
  • According to one interview by director David Gordon Green, one ending had Laurie dying and another had Corey surviving.
  • Reportedly, the "Corey surviving" ending had it so that Corey did not attempt suicide only to be killed by Michael. Instead, following Laurie and Michael's battle, he has a final confrontation with Allyson, who shoots him and causes him to fall out a window, after which he vanishes when she looks out it — a direct Call-Back to the end of the original film, indicating that Corey is indeed the new "Boogeyman". It did not go over well with test audiences, though, and the film was altered accordingly.
  • Given this movie's multiple allusions to Halloween III: Season of the Witch, one proposed ending fittingly takes place at the Silver Shamrock factory where the production line starts pumping out Michael Myers masks after Michael dies.
