     Pre-release theories
Michael will speak
It will only serve to make Michael more mysterious.

Realistic Consequences for Michael's wounds in this film
After taking two movies worth of beatings, Michael's wounds will start to take a toll on his performance. So, he'll resort to stealth and changing his mask in order to catch his victims off-guard.
  • Jossed. There's a four year timeskip, giving Michael plenty of time to recover.
  • He IS noticeably weaker than the previous movies, with Corey escaping his grasp & later overpowering him and stealing his mask.

Laurie and Michael will die killing each other.
Due to the death of Karen, Laurie will become more of an Ahab-type of character in order to protect Allyson, and her obsession with destroying Michael will lead to her and Michael both dying while killing each other.
  • Michael tries, but Allyson arrives to prevent him from strangling Laurie to death. Hence only the Shape is killed as he bleeds out.

This movie will bring characters from the Cult of Thorn Trilogy into the new continuity.
  • A grown-up Jamie Lloyd. While it's implied that Karen is Laurie's only child, maybe that was only referring to her first marriage or a one night stand, and Jamie just doesn't live in Haddonfield. The producers have even stated that they'd like to bring her back, but haven't been able to think up a good storyline.
  • Ben Meeker. It's implied that Sheriff Barker might quit or get voted out of office after Michael's rampage. If so, Haddonfield will need a new sheriff, and as an Ensemble Dark Horse, Meeker might be a good choice for the role.
  • Rachel Carruthers. As a kid who Laurie used to babysit, she could be an ally even without being the foster sister of Laurie's daughter.

The movie will bring up the other timelines in a The Multiverse sense.
  • Completely jossed.

The movie will end with a Sequel Hook involving Silver Shamrock
During the climax, he will catch Laurie off-guard because he was wearing a different mask to disguise himself. Before Michael goes in for the kill, a familiar jingle plays on a TV in the room. Suddenly, bugs and snakes start falling out of Michael's mask. As Michael falls dead on the ground, the camera pans to a tag on Michael's mask with the Silver Shamrock logo. Michael is now gone, but now the people of Haddonfield have a new problem: Conal Cochran. Nobody will know what the hell is going on and the movie will make $7.
  • Jossed.
Hawkins will attempt to perform a Heroic Sacrifice in Halloween Ends to kill Michael
In Halloween 2018, we learn he harbours guilt over not killing Micheal and stoping Loomis from doing so, after his original rampage. And he's so far still alive and Michael's body count just keeps getting bigger and bigger. So it would only be fitting if Hawkins chose to do whatever he had to to take Michael out. Even if he dies doing it.
  • Jossed, he survives.

     Post Release Theories
Future entries
With Michael finally, definitely dead, the Halloween franchise will finally take another shot at being an anthology series, like it tried to do with the original third entry.

What the plot was supposed to be
  • The 2018 movie would have one sequel, but then it was expanded to two. One review tried to think how things would've gone if the original plans didn't change and Kills and Ends were as a single movie:
    • Again there's a Time Skip instead of being an Immediate Sequel, and Laurie would've still moved on - only it makes more sense with "thinks Michael died in the fire" than "Michael has vanished since the slaughter after breaking out of the burning house".
    • Officer Doug Mulaney is a replacement for Cameron, being Allyson's obnoxious ex\boyfriend.
    • Given the 2018 movie ends with Allyson traumatized and holding Michael's knife, she would've been the one who followed his footsteps, probably even killing her mother like Corey does.
