• Critical Dissonance: Happened on his two most famous movies, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and The Sting, both of which did well with audiences but were dismissed by critics (however, both were Vindicated by History).
• Production Posse: Worked with Paul Newman and Robert Redford on three films each - the three of them worked together on Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and The Sting, and Hill worked separately with Redford on The Great Waldo Pepper and with Newman on Slap Shot.
