Trivia / Generation Loss

• All-Star Cast: The Social Experiments features many well-known streamers and internet celebrities, such as Ranboo, Slimecicle, Sneegsnag, Nihachu, Jerma985, Vinny Vinesauce and so on.
• Award Snub: The Social Experiments was nominated for The Streamer Awards 2024 in the Best Streamed Series category, but lost to Name Your Price by AustinShow, a fellow cast member for The Social Experiments.
• Fan Community Nicknames: Ranboo and the fans have called themselves GenLossers.
• On-Set Injury: During the first broadcast, a live wire came loose under Ranboo's clothes and ended up pressing against his back, giving him second-degree electrical burns. Impressively, he did not break character during this (unless you count laying down in a strange position to avoid putting pressure on it) and finished the broadcast before seeking medical attention.
• Promoted Fanboy: kertoir and Paprika had drawn fanart of Ranboo in the past before being brought on to provide artwork for Generation Loss (kertoir provided the episode poster designs and Paprika made the portrait of Slimecicle in Episode 1).
• Throw It In!: A lot of the dialogue said by Slimecicle was improvised, mostly trying to get everyone to break character.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Ranboo revealed in a stream after The Social Experiments ended that there would've been an alternate "Live" ending if Ranboo had been voted to live. If he lived, he would've been taken away kicking and screaming while the staff forced a mask on him.
  • If the audience had chosen to open the door another time, Ranboo would've ended up in a dimension where an amusement park was getting nuked.
  • Fellow streamer Jack Manifold was offered a role in The Social Experiments but ultimately turned it down due to being in TommyInnit's show.
  • Lovejoy had written a song for The Social Experiments, but couldn't make it in due to time restraints.
  • According to Valkyrae in a behind-the-scenes video she did, she and Sykkuno were offered a choice between playing detectives or playing rats for their appearance in episode 2; they chose the latter.
  • On a Brain Leak podcast, Jacksepticeye was meant to have a role in The Social Experiments, but couldn't make it due to time constraints.
