- Acting for Two: Several of the show's voice actors also appeared in the live-action segments for "Mug Shots".
- Adored by the Network: Most of HBO Family's 90s and 2000s lineup has been scrapped (as part of HBO's general neglect of kids/family-oriented programming before Sesame Street moved to the service), however Crashbox remains even into the late 2010s. This is presumably due to its subject matter aging slowly.
- Descended Creator: Co-creator John Watkin plays the Wordshake Chef from "Wordshake", the Left Ear from "Ear We Are" and the Horrid One from the "Haunted House Party" among other roles.

- One "Poop or Scoop" segment says that elephants aren't really afraid of mice, but the Mythbusters proved otherwise many years later.
- One "Psycho Math" segment requires the viewers to solve an equation by using the number of planets in the solar system. Pluto would not be removed from the list of planets until years after the show's time, so viewers watching today would be forgiven for thinking eight planets instead of nine.
