California Doubling: Although the series is set in the Los Angeles area, most of it is actually filmed in South Africa.
Fake American: Spanish actress Christina Ochoa as Grace, and Maltese actress Marama Corlett as Aki. Ochoa, for her part, does an excellent American accent, and while Corlett's accent is shakier, it only adds to her Uncanny Valley Girl tendencies.
Trolling Creator: The show had an actual complaint line, at (325) 400-DGAF. A few of these complaints were aired in mocking fashion during the lines commercial.
