- Real-Life Relative: Gustaf Skarsgård appears as King Knut. Gustav's younger brothers Bill and Valter appear in the second film playing Knut's sons Erik and Jon. Their father, Stellan Skarsgård also appears in the films as Jarl Birger Brosa, but his character is not related to the characters his sons play.
